ELLIS "ECO-LINE" PRE-FINISHED T&G FLOORING
Two-Ply Construction
We are pleased to offer our very high quality 2-Ply Ellis Eco-Line Engineered flooring. ALL our flooring is made in our flooring factory in China, using state-of-the-art German and Italian machinery, and using only German coatings (made by Klumpp and Treffert) and Scandinavian and Japanese glues, conforming to European Union E1 Standards and better – far surpassing OSHA recommended Standards.
The top layer is a made of Solid hardwood 1/8” (3 mm) or 3/16” (4 mm), laminated onto Multi-Ply Baltic Birch Waterproof Plywood, conforming to the same accuracy and high standard of machining as all our other flooring products. All PRE-FINISHED Ellis Engineered Eco-Line Flooring is supplied in a MATTE finish with 25 - 30% Gloss Rate or higher Gloss if required. All Pre-finished Aluminum Oxide coated products carry a 25-Year Limited Warrantee on the wear layer for residential installations. Since Ellis Flooring is a product of nature, there will be slight variations in color.
All Ellis Hardwood Engineered Flooring is available in either Tongue and Groove (T&G) or Patented Click-Lock System profiles.
2 Ply Construction is available with the Top Wear Layer laminated onto a Multiply Plywood or onto an HDF (High-Density Fiberboard) Core.
All Ellis Engineered Flooring is also available with a Backer of either EVA/IXPE Foam Rubber, or Cork - to help deaden sound.
Engineered Flooring on HDF Core has IXPE or EVA or Cork Backer.
HDF core is harder, more stable and more moisture resistant, due to its Janka hardness rating of 1700.
This makes the much HDF core much harder, more durable and less susceptible to moisture than a plywood core.

Wide Oak Plank - 300mm width engineered oak flooring
When a floor is made from planks that are wide and long, it means that there are less seams in the overall floor, and the less seams there are, the more unified, distinctive, and gorgeous the floor looks. In addition, planks just look more dramatic and beautiful when they are wide and long, with their wide grain patterns flowing uninterrupted from end to end.
